Foundation Literary Service Award on January 25, 2016 for her advocacy of free

Golden Globe Awards
The 73rd Golden Globe Awards, one of
the most prestigious Hollywood awards, were presented in different categories
in a splendid award ceremony on January 10, 2016 at Beverly Hills, California.
The Revenant, a fabulous revenge thriller movie swept away major awards in
Drama Category including Golden Globe for Best Picture and Best Actor (Leonardo
Dicaprio). Space adventure 'The Martian was honoured with the Golden Globe for
Best Picture in Musical or Comedy Category. Matt Damon won the Golden Globe of
Best Actor in musical or comedy section for the Martian.
Actor Denzel Washington was honoured
with the Cecil B Demille Award. The Golden Globe Awards were given by the
83-member Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Ricky Gervais hosted the award
ceremony.

The 88th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honored the bestfilms of 2015 and took place on

7. Grammy Awards
2016
The 2016 Grammy Awards were held on
February 15, 2016, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony
recognizes the best recordings, compositions and artists of the eligibility
year, which was from October 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015. The
"pre-telecast" ceremony, officially known as the Premiere Ceremony,
in which the majority of awards were presented, was held at the nearby Microsoft Theater. It was the
sixteenth Grammy ceremony to be held at the Staples Center, tying the Shrine Auditorium in Los
Angeles for hosting the most Grammy ceremonies. It also marks the latest date
for a Grammy ceremony since 2003, which were held on February 23.
