The
minimum and maximum qualification for appointment of Class IV posts shall be
Matric and 10+2 prescribed vide SRO 99 of 2008 Dated 07-04-2008. No additional
weightage shall be given for higher qualification. The application accompanied
with Higher Qualification will not be accepted The appointee shall however, in
the matter of age. qualification, conduct and other ancillary matters shall be
governed by the recruitment rules and Government orders in vogue at the time of
appointment

The
application form accompanied with necessary documents/testimonials and two
recent Passport Size Photographs pasted at specified places and duly attested
by a Gazetted Officer must be delivered by hand or Registered Post against a
proper receipt during office hours at the following address: Office of the
Additional Director; Sericulture Development Department, Jammu Opposite Super
Specialty Hospital. B.C.Road. Jammu. 180001. up to 1.30 PM. till 20-07-2016.
The Registered Post application will also entertain which will be received in
this office upto 20-07-2016 at 1 30 PM The application received after
20-07-2016 will not be entertained and hence rejected

7. The Selection Committee reserves the right to short
list candidates on the basis of Merit.

The
Candidates called for interview shall have to produce their academic
qualification/Date of Birth Certificate/Reserved Category Certificate/State
Subject Certificate etc. in original at the time of interview

10. The Chairman reserves the
right to change the number of vacancies till the finalization of selection

Due to the tensions prevailing and internet services being shutdown in the valley, JKPSC has extended the last date of registration of Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examnation, 2016. - KAS 2016. The details have been provided below.
Online applications are invited by JKPSC from permanent residents of the Jammu and Kashmir State for admission to the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (previously known as, Kashmir Administrative Services - KAS), 2016 in accordance with SRO 387 dated 01.12.2008, read with SRO 190 of 2016 dated 17.06.2016 and J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2005 to fill up the posts in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 with grade pay Rs.4800 in the below mentioned Services referred by the General Administration Department vide their letter No GAD(Ser)Genl/87/2014 Dated: 17.06.2016.

Conditions: The candidate:
a) must be a permanent resident of J&K State; and
b) must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a
recognized University in India or from a Foreign University declared by
Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to a degree of
a recognized University.
Age Limit:
(i) A candidate must have
attained the age of 21 years but must not have crossed the age of 35 years (in
case of OM candidates) on 1st January 2016 i.e. a candidate must have been born
not earlier than 01.01.1981 and not later than 01.01.1995.
(ii) (ii) The upper age limit
in case of following shall, however, be 37 years again reckonable with
reference to 01.01.2016:-
a) candidates belonging to
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Socially and Educationally Backward Classes;
b) candidates holding a civil
post in the State in a substantive capacity:
The upper age limit for
physically challenged candidates is 38 years irrespective of the category to
which such a candidate belongs.
Provided further that a
candidate who has completed two years service in substantive capacity to be
certified by his Head of Department shall alone be eligible to claim the
benefit of upper age limit under clause (b) above

Two years of service for the above purpose will be determined on 01.01.2016, as
1st January is relevant for purpose of determination of the age in the services

Centre of Examination: The Examination will be held at different
centres located at Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Jammu, Kargil, Leh, Rajouri and
Srinagar districts for which a candidates shall exercise an option.

means/ mode of application shall be accepted.
2. On successful submission of
the online application, a window will open with a link to print e-challan and
application form
3. The candidate should take a
printout of the fee payment challan and can deposit fees in any of the branches
of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in the designated account number only printed on the
e-challan.

Nature of
Appointment:
• The appointment shall be initially on probation for a
period of 05 years.
• During the probation the appointees shall be paid
consolidated salary at the minimum of pay scale along with grade pay attached
to the post.
• After 05 years of their initial appointment, the
appointees shall be declared permanent subject to successful completion of
probation period on consolidated salary.
