Applications on the prescribed format are invited from the, (Not in Service/Non-PSC), eligible candidates from the permanent Residents of J&K State for engagement of Professors and Associate Professors on "Academic Arrangement basis" in the following Disciplines of Super Specialties Hospital, Government Medical College, Srinagar, initially for a period of one year under SRO 384 of 2009 Dated. 14-12-2009 read with SRO. 409 of 2013 Dated.19-08-2013, which shall be extendable, under Rules, upto maximum for six years (one year at a time subject to good performance and conduct as well as prescribed age limit), or till such time posts are filled up by the competent authority on regular basis in terms of existing J&K Medical Education (Gazetted) Recruitment Rules 1979 and SRO. 88 of 2016 Dated. 14.03.2016, whichever is earlier: -

2.	Cardiology	Professor	DM (Cardiology)/DNB (Cardiology) having 07 years teaching experience out of which 03 years should be as Associate Professors from a Medical College or a teaching Medical Institute as recognized by Medical Council of India.
		Associate Professor	DM (Cardiology)/DNB (Cardiology) having 04 years teaching experience out of which 02 years should be as Assistant Professors from a Medical College or a teaching Medical Institute as recognized by Medical Council of India.
3.	Nephrology	Professor	DM (Nephrology)/DNB (Nephrology) having 07 years teaching experience out of which 03 years should be as Associate Professors from a Medical College or a teaching Medical Institute as recognized by Medical Council of India..
		Associate Professor	DM (Nephrology)/DNB (Nephrology) having 04 years teaching experience out of which 02 years should be as Assistant Professors from a Medical College or a teaching Medical Institute as recognized by Medical Council of India.

Terms &Conditions:-

The applicants are advised to enclose with their application format the self attested copies of undermentioned documents/certificates:-

a. MBBS & MD/MS/DM/DNB/M Ch. etc. Qualification certificates of the respective specialty, (May also refer eligibility criteria column as above).

b. Final year MBBS Marks certificate.

c. Attempt Certificate of all examination of MBBS issued by the respective University.

d. Experience certificate of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor and Professor as the case may be.

e. Professional Publication under SRO 88 of 2016 Dated. 14.04.2016, details as under: -

i. For the post of Professor:

(4) Research publications indexed in National Journals accepted/published as first/second author, out of which minimum two research publications must have been published during the tenure of the Associate Professor.

ii. For the post of Associate Professor:

(2) Research publications indexed in National Journals accepted/ published as first! Second author during the tenure of the Assistant Professor.

f. State Subject.

g. Date of Birth Certificate.

16. The Candidates may download the application format from the official website of the Government Medical College, Srinagar i.e. http://www.gmcs.edu.in/

17. The applications should reach to the office of the undersigned by or before 16.06.2016 upto 3:00 PM.

18. The applicants shall have to appear before the constituted Selection Committee for interview at Government Medical College, Srinagar alongwith all original testimonials and other related documents on the date which will be notified separately.

19. The applicant for the post should not be of more than (63) years of age as on the date of issuance of notice.

20. The selected candidates shall have to execute an agreement that he/she will not leave the Department before the completion of one year's contract, however abandoning/teminating of the arrangement as the case may be will require one month prior notice on either side failing which the salary shall not be paid for one month to the incumbent which shall always remain in deposit with the Department and shall be released after completion of sanctioned term.

21. The selected candidate has to submit an affidavit to the effect that he/she is not on the rolls of any Medical Colleges/institutions of the country which is pre-requisite in terms of MCI norms.

22. No application of the in-service candidate shall be entertained owing to the existence of SRO 409 of 2013 Dated.19-08-2013.

II) Engagement of Tutors on Academic Arrangement basis

Eligible permanent residents of J&K State, who are not in service are invited for a walk in interview to be held on Wednesday, the 15^th  June, 2016. for their engagement on Academic Arrangement basis under SRO 384 read with SRO 409 against the following posts of AMT School of the Government Medical College, Srinagar, for a period of one year or till such time the posts are filled up by the competent Authority, in accordance with the existing Recruitment Rules, 1979, whichever is earlier:-

Terms & Conditions:-

a. The appointee shall be paid salary at the minimum of the pay scale in accordance with the provisions of SRO 384 of 2009.

b. The applicants are advised to enclose the self attested true copies of the requisite documents with their applications.

c. The applicants shall have to appear before the constituted Selection Committee at Government

Medical College, Srinagar alongwith all original testimonials and other related documents on the —15-06-2016, the 15^th of June, 2016.

d. For the aforementioned posts, applications will be accepted /entertained only from eligible, not in service candidates. Retired Tutors of Govt. recognized Institutes/hospitals, who should not be of more than (63) years of age as on the date of issuance of notice, can also apply.

e. The engagement of the incumbent shall be purely on Academic Arrangement basis for a period of one year extendable upto a maximum of six years (one year at a time subject to good performance, and conduct) or till the post is filled up in accordance with the rules of recruitment governing the post, whichever is earlier. Provided that the appointment on academic arrangement basis shall terminate on the attainment of 65 years of age by the appointee.

f. The selected candidates shall have to enter into an agreement that they will not leave the Department before the completion of one year’s contract. Abandoning/terminating of the arrangement, as the case may be, will require two months prior notice on. either side failing which the salary shall not be paid for one month to the incumbent which shall always remain in deposit with the Department and shall be released on completion of sanctioned term

g. The institute from which the candidate has obtained his/her M.Sc. Nursing degree should be recognized by the INC (Indian Nursing Council).
