BSNL takes on Jio's 'Dhan Dhana Dhan offer'

Telecom provider BSNL introduces three, new, data-heavy plans to compete in the rate-war now shaking up the telecom market. These new plans include the Rs 349 "Dhil Khol Ke Bol", Rs 333 "Triple Ace" and Rs 395 "Nehle per Dehla" plans.

The Rs 333 plan offers 3 GB of data per day for 90 days. The Rs 349 plan offers unlimited local and STD calls from the home circle as well as 2 GB of data with a validity of 28 days. The Rs 395 plan offers 2 GB of data per day, 3,000 BSNL to BSNL minutes, 1,800 minutes of talktime with other networks and a validity of 71 days.

When the data plans expire, customers will be throttled down to 80 Kbps.

An existing Rs 339 plan is also being revamped to offer 3 GB of data per day for 28 days. The same plan offered 2 GB of data per day earlier. The talktime benefits that were present earlier will remain.

Other telcos, including Vodafone and Airtel, have also been dropping prices of data packs in response to Reliance Jio's extended data packs and unlimited voice calling offers.

Reliance Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer provides unlimited calling and SMS as well as 1 GB of data per day for Rs 309 and 2 GB of data per day for Rs 509. Both plans require a Rs 99 a year subscription to Jio Prime.
