Isro releases compilation of footages from GSLV Mk III onboard cameras
CHENNAI: Indian Space Research Organisation has released a compilation of footages from the cameras onboard GSLV Mk III, which successfully placed GSAT-19 communication satellite in orbit on Monday (June 5).
The edited two-minute video with background music has been posted on the space agency's website .
The video shows clips from the onboard cameras that captured the separation of the S200 solid motors, a few minutes after the vehicle blasted off from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Monday evening.
The video ends with the separation of the communication satellite, about 16 minutes after lift-off. The satellite was placed in a geostationary transfer orbit.
The video also shows how the vehicle was tracked during the launch.
Isro scientists said used they the Navic, the constellation of seven navigational satellites, to track the launch vehicle during the mission.
It would take two to three weeks for the satellite to reach its final orbital position, which would be done by firing the boosters onboard, they said
