VVIP vehicle, with blue beacon light, mows Jammu teen

Jammu: A 13-year-old boy was killed in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday when a Bolero with a blue beacon mowed him down and rushed away.
In a CCTV footage accessed by Media house shows that the four-wheeler hit Paramjeet Thapa, who was on a cycle and on his way to a nearby sweet shop to buy curd, and run away instead of taking the injured boy to the hospital or his house.

By the time his father reached the spot of the accident, the 13-year-old had succumbed to injuries. Later, the father took him to the hospital for his postmortem.
“Whoever did this should have stopped and taken my boy to the hospital for humanity’s sake,” said deceased boy’s father Purshottam Thapa.
“The ones who did it are VIPs, and that’s why the police are investigating really slowly,” he added.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Sajjad Haider of Channi Police Station said, “We are investigating the matter but there have been no traces of the vehicle as of yet
