Jobs in JKSPDC for junior engineer and other posts

JKSPDC invites applications on prescribed format from the permanent residents for jobs in J&K State for their appointment against following posts on Contractual basis for a period of 2 years after which the appointees shall be considered for regularization subject to their satisfactory performance in accordance with the policy adopted by the Corporation. The application Forms duly filled in should reach the Corporate Office at Srinagar or Jammu.

Breakup of the posts, Educational qualifications, age limit etc. are given below:

Engineering with at least 60% marks from a University established by law in India/ AICET approved institute; or Diploma in Mech. Engineering with at least 60% marks from a AICET approved institute; or II. AMIE from Institute of Engineers, Kolkata.
3	Junior Engineer (Electrical)	36	OM = 19 RBA = 8 ST = 4 SC= 4  ALC = 1	Rs. 13500/- Degree holders shall be entitled to Rs. 2460/- in addition to Rs. 13500/- Pay Scale Rs. 9300 - 34800 with GP 4200	BTech/B.E in Elect. Engineering/Electronic and Communications with at least 60% marks from a University established by law in India/ AICET approved institute; or Diploma in Elect. Engineering with at least 60% marks from a AICET approved institute; or II. AMIE from Institute of Engineers, Kolkata.
4	Junior Engineer (Automation) For BHEP	2	OM= 2	Rs. 13500/- Degree holders shall be entitled to Rs. 2460/- in addition to Rs. 13500/- Pay Scale Rs. 9300 - 34800 with GP 4200	B.E/BTech Electrical Engineering / B.E/BTech Electronics & Communication Engineering.
5	Junior Engineer (Instrumenta tion)for BHEP	2	OM=2	Rs. 13500/- Degree holders shall be entitled to Rs. 2460/- in addition to Rs. 13500/- Pay Scale Rs. 9300 - 34800 with GP 4200	B.E/BTech Instrumentation Engineering
6	Geological Assistant	3	OM=3	Rs. 13580/- Pay Scale Rs. 9300 - 34800 with GP 4280	M.Sc in Geology from Government recognized university with minimum 60% of marks in qualifying examination
7	Surveyor (Geology)	3	OM=3	Rs.8000/- Pay Scale Rs. 5200-20200 with GP 2400	B.Sc in Geology from Government recognized university with minimum 55% of marks in qualifying examination

Note: Degrees/Diplomas acquired through distance mode will not be entertained.

Age Limit: AGE AS ON 1.1.2017

Minimum age: 18 years.

Maximum age as under

1. General category: 40 years

2. Physically Handicapped: 42 years

3. Members of SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC: 43 years

4. Candidates already in Government Services/PSUs: 40 years

5. Ex-Servicemen: 48 years

After the selection, the candidates can be posted anywhere in the projects but the male selected candidate shall have to first serve for 5 years and female candidates for 3 years at the locations where they may prefer to be posted out of the below given Projects in order to meet staff shortage at these locations:-.

The candidates will exercise their option in the application form regarding their selection/appointment in the Projects as listed above. However JKSPDC shall be free to post these engineers & other technical personnel at locations where requirement is acute even after the mandatory initial posting period of 5 years & 3 years is over.

Important Instructions:

1. Application Forms can be downloaded from JKSPDCL corporate website www.jkspdc.nic.in under the “Appointments and Postings” section. Application forms are also available from JKSPDCL Corporate Office, Exhibition Road, Srinagar and at Camp office Ashok Nagar Satwari Jammu on working days also. The application forms can be either submitted at Corporate Office Srinagar/ Camp Office Jammu on all working days with a cash payment of Rs. 200/- or despatched via speed post /Registered post alongwith a Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- pledged to General Manager (Accounts) Corporate Office Srinagar/Camp Office Jammu.

2. A photograph to be affixed on the Application Form. The copies of following certificates are to be attached with the Application Form (Not Scanned One).

1. Date of Birth Certificate;

2. Permanent Resident Certificate;

3. Valid category certificate if any;

4. Marks certificates of prescribed qualification.

5. Experience Certificate if any;

The JKSPDC Management reserves the right to reject any or all applications or cancel the selection process without assigning any reason.

Seletction Criteria:

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of screening test, weightage assigned

to merit for the Qualifications and called for interview in the ratio of 1:5 (i.e No. of posts: No. of candidates).

Selection criteria for the above posts shall be as follows.

For Junior Engineers

Marks obtained in Screening test	65 (Sixty five) points on pro rata basis
Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic & Communication from AICTE recognized institute	10 (Ten) points on pro-rata basis
Additional points for Degree Course	10 (Ten) points on pro-rata basis
Additional points for M.Tech	5 (five) points on pro-rata basis
Viva voce	10 (ten) points

For Geological Assistant

Qualification	Weightage to be given.
Marks obtained in Screening test	65 (Sixty five) points on pro rata basis
Additional points for M.Sc Geology from Government recognized university	10 (Ten) points on pro rata basis
Additional points for M. Phil from Government recognized university	10 (Ten) points on pro rata basis
Additional points for Ph. D	5 (five) points
Viva voce	10 (Ten) points

For Surveyor Geology

Qualification	Weightage to be given.
Marks obtained in Screening test	65 (Sixty five) points on pro rata basis
Additional points for B.Sc Geology from Government recognized university	20 (Twenty) points on pro rata basis
Additional points for M.Sc Geology from Government recognized university	5 (Five) points on pro rata basis
Viva voce	10 (Ten) points
