JK Police Recruitment for SPOs in SDRF, J&K

Applications as per enclosed proforma are invited from the permanent residents of J&K State (Male only) for their engagement as SPOs (Skilled) in SDRF J&K as per the directions of PHQ-J&K against the monthly honorarium as admissible in terms of policy for such engagements.

These SPOs are required to meet the emerging requirements in the fields of disasters either natural or man-made.

The engagements shall be restricted to native districts. These engagements shall be made on the recommendations of the Board constituted by this Directorate.

The "Educational Qualification, Age and Physical Standards" prescribed for engagement as SPOs are specified as under:-

Last date for receipt of application forms:  10th Nov. 2018 (4 PM) 

1.	Educational Qualification: (Matric)	i. Matric -10 marks ii. 10+2 -12 marks iii. Graduation and above -15 marks (Maximum)
2.	Age	Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 28 years of age as on date of issue of this advertisement notice.
3.	Physical Standard Height = 5'-6" Chest = 32” (unexpanded) 33-1/2"(expanded) (For Candidates belonging to Ladakh region and Gorkha community Height = 5'-4”)	i. Below 5'-8" - 10 Marks ii. 5'-8” - 11 Marks
4.	Physical Endurance Test	i. Race: 1600 meters Race in 6 minutes & 15 seconds. ii. Push Ups: 20 (one cycle of up & down to counted as one)
5.	In-service VHGs  (Age: 18 to 37 Years) (VHG: who have crossed the age limit of 28 years but are within 37 years of age and have completed five years of engagement shall be eligible to apply)	1. One year (completed) = 01 mark (However, in-service Homeguard volunteers shall be given additional mark of each additional year of engagement subject to maximum of 04 marks)

Note: All the tests shall be qualifying in nature

Since the service of these SPOs shall be utilized during disasters either natural or man-made, preference will be given to those candidates who have knowledge/experience in the following fields:-

Swimming, Mountaineering, Fire fighting, First Aid, Sweeper, Cook, Masonry, Driving (with Heavy Driving License), Electrician, Cobbler, Washerman, Gardener, Plumber. (01 Mark Maximum)

The application forms (as per Annexure-A) should be accompanied with attested copies of following certificates:

i) Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation)

ii) Academic qualification certificate

iii) State Subject Certificate

iv) Four copies of recent passport size photographs

v) Any other experience certificate related to the field of preference as mentioned above. Candidates will be subjected to the tests in fields of preference as mentioned above.

"Application Forms" completed in all respect shall be deposited in the office of Commandant SDRF 1st Bn. and Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn. at Srinagar and Jammu respectively under proper receipt. The incomplete application forms or not filled properly shall not be entertained. The candidates of Leh and Kargil shall deposit their application forms in the office of Dy. Controllers Civil Defence Leh and Kargil respectively.

The last date for receipt of application forms is 10th Nov. 2018 (4 PM). The Commandants SDRF 1st/2nd Bns. Srinagar/ Jammu shall maintain all the record is of such "Applications" received from the candidates in separate prescribed registers (District-wise) for submission to the Board before engagement process starts.

The candidates shall have to appear in the prescribed tests at their own expenses on the date and venue to be communicated separately. The application forms can also be downloaded from the Police website as well as this organization's website i.e. www.jkpolice.gov.in, www.jkcivildefence.org
