Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for jobs in Srinagar as working faculty members in Medical Colleges and as Senior Consultants/ Consultants in the Department of Health, Jammu/ Kashmir for one time absorption by way of lateral entry as faculty members in Government Medical College Anantnag against the posts of Professors and Associate Professors as per the following eligibility conditions

Post	Eligibility conditions and Mode of recruitment
Professor	One time absorption by way of lateral entry from:- Government Medical Colleges by selection from amongst the persons having a minimum of 13 years teaching experience, out of which at least 03 years should be as Associate Professor in any Government Medical College as a full time faculty member in the concerned dis­cipline with minimum of four (04) original research publications in in- dexed/national journals, accepted/published as first/corresponding author during the tenure of Associate Professor. Or By selection from Health Department from amongst the Senior Con­sultants/ Consultants possessing a post graduate medical degree in the relevant subject and his/her working in the concerned specialty in a minimum 300 bedded hospital and having more than 18 years service, with four original research publications in indexed/national journals as first/ corresponding author. Such Senior Consultant/Con- sultant after joining in the Medical College shall be called as"Designate Professor" and on completion of 03 years experience in the capacity of Designate Professor, such person shall be designated as Professor. Provided that in case of research publications published before 5th June, 2017, first/second author shall also be considered in each of the above two categories.
Associate Professor	One time absorption by way of lateral entry from:- Government Medical Colleges by selection from amongst persons having a minimum of 09 years teaching experience, out of which four years should be as Assistant Professor as a full time faculty member in the concerned discipline in a medical college with minimum of two original research publications in indexed/national journals accepted/ published as first/corresponding author. Or By selection from Health Department from amongst the Senior Con­sultants/ Consultants possessing a post graduate medical degree in the relevant subject and his/her working in the concerned specialty in a minimum 300 bedded hospital and having more than 10 years service, with two original research publications in indexed/national journals as first/ corresponding author. Provided that in case of research publications published before 5th June, 2017, first/second author shall also be considered in each of the above two categories

The selection criteria for these posts shall be as under:-

i)	For Teaching experience/ Minimum required Service	60 Points (30 points for minimum required teaching experience or minimum re­quired service as Senior Consultant/ Consultant service (in case of doc­tors from Health Department) for the post and 03 points for every ad­ditional year, subject to a maximum of 30 points)
ii)	For Research Publications	30 Points (15 points for required number of publications and 03 points for every additional publication, subject to a maximum of 15 points).
ill)	For Higher qualification (DM/MCH only)	10 points

The selection of the candidates for such posts shall be made by the respective Selection Committees constituted by the Government for the purpose vide Government Order No. 53-HME of 2019 dated 16.01.2019.

The candidates are advised to submit the copies of the following documents with their application forms:

1. MBBS Degree and JK State Medical Council/MCI Registration Certificate

2. Post-Graduate Degree and JK State Medical Council/MCI Registration Certificate

3. Higher qualification Certificate (DM/MCh. only).

4. Professional Publications (full text), published in indexed/ national journals, as prescribed.

5. Date of birth Certificate

6. Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC).

7. Two Passport size Photographs

In addition to above, the application forms shall be accompanied with the following documents:-

NOC from the concerned Head of the Department and Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu in respect of faculty members of these institutions seeking absorption by way of lateral entry in the new Medical Colleges.

i. NOC from Director, Health Services, Kashmir/Jammu in respect of Senior Consultants 

ii. Consultants seeking absorption by way of lateral entry in the new Medical Colleges.

iii. Affidavit from 1 st Class Magistrate to the effect that once appointed in the new Government Medical College the appointee shall not claim transfer to parent college/ parent department.

iv. Relevant experience certificate from Head of the Institution in case of faculty members and Head of the Department in case of Senior Consultant/ Consultants, as the case may be, for the post for which application is being submitted.

In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.

The application form, complete in all respects, must reach the office of the Principal Government Medical College Anantnag, camp office District Hospital (MMABM Hospital) Anantnag by or before 1st February 2019 (4 PM).
