Jobs in JK Police for women constable posts

Online applications are invited from permanent residents (Female Candidates only) for jobs in J&K State for the post of Constable( in two Women Battalions (one Battalion i.e 675 posts each in Jammu/ Kashmir Region) in accordance with reservation policy of Stale Government.

Note:- The recruitment will be made for a total number of 1350 vacancies in 02 Women Battalions distributed as per guidelines of MU A GOI letter No. 13030/50/2015.K.II(pt) dated 13-06-2018, 60% (equally for Border Districts of J&K i.e. Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Leh & Kargil) and 40% (equally for other Districts i.e. Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar & Ramban).
2- The educational qualification, age and physical standards prescribed for the above mentioned posts are specified as under:-

i)
Educational Qualification
The Candidate should have passed matriculation examination from any Government recognized Board by or before the last date for submission of application form.
ii)
Age (as on January, 1st , 2019)
The candidates should not be below 18 years and above 28 years in age.
(The candidates born before 01.01.1991 and after 31.12.2000 shall not be eligible.)
However, in case of serving SPOs with a continuous period of engagement of minimum three years and Voluntary Home Guards (VIIGs) with a period of engagement of minimum five years, the upper age limit shall be 37 years and for Ex-Servicemen it shall be 48 years.
iii)
Physical Standards
Height - 5' -2”( minimum.)
For candidates belonging to Ladakh region and Gorkha community (State Subject)
Height - 5’( minimum.)
ii)
The candidates possessing basic eligibility criteria viz age and educational quaification as prescribed here in above shall be subject to the following tests :
A.
Physical Endurance Test(PET)-Qualifying in nature(only candidates who qualify the Physical Endurance Test (PET) shall be eligible for the
Long Race - 1000 meters in 6 1/2 minutes (six minutes thirty seconds). Shot Put (4Kgs) = 14 & 1/2 feet in three attempts
• The test shall be of qualifying nature for which no marks will be allotted
B. 
Physical Standard Test (PST) 
• Measurement of Height
The candidates are also required to bring alongwith their original documents/ testimonials for scrutiny during the PST.
C. 

Written Examination (Objective type)
Only for the candidates who quality and meet the required ol “A & B” of this para shall be allowed to sit in written test.
The written lest will consist of objective questions. The question paper will consist of 100 questions to be attempted in 2 hours. The question paper will be of matriculation standard will comprise questions on general awareness/general knowledge, elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability.

Pay scale: Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 + Grade pay 1900/- (Now revised 19900-63200 Level 2)


Since the 60% posts are to be equally distributed in Border Districts and 40% posts are to he equally distributed in remaining Districts, candidates belonging to the domicile District cannot apply for appointment in other District except SC category, who can apply only in any one District of the State. This should be supported by Permanent Resident Certificate which will determine the domicile District. In ease a candidate applies for appointment in more than one District, her application will be summarily rejected without any notice to the candidate.

Application fee: Rs. 300
The instruction for filling up of online application form is enclosed as annexure “A”. Candidate shall deposit a fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three hundred only) online or use the services of Common Service Centers. In case of non availability of online payment facility, the candidates may use the option of depositing the application fee through Bank ChalIan. Candidates arc requested to read and follow these instructions carefully as no amount once deposited will ever be refunded for reasons whatsoever.
• Candidates already in Government service and conforming to the prescribed standards can apply through proper channel after obtaining NOC from their Head of the Department without which the online applications will not be entertained.
• The recruitment will be undertaken under Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) through an Outsourcing firm.
• Last date for submission of online application form shall be 30 days after the activation of the link which will be notified separately. The last date for the receipt of the application provided in the notification shall be the cutoff date for determining the eligibility with regard to educational qualification/relevant category. Any qualification or claim accruing to the candidate after last dale of receipt of application shall not be entertained. No “under process” claim will be considered at any stage. The selection of the candidates for the post of Constable shall be made at District level on their performance in written test vis-a-vis number of vacancies. In ease of lie in merit, the preference will be given to the candidate older in age.
• Since, the recruitment is being made for raising 02 Women Battalions on the strength of J&K Police, as such, the appointees will have to render their services wherever required in the State.
• In terms of the directions issued by the State Government vide No. I lonic/PB- III/62/G/2008 dated 25-09-2009, the horizontal reservation to the extent of 15% and 4% shall be given to eligible serving SPOs and VIIGs respectively (provided SPOs have completed continuous engagement of 03 years and VIIGs have completed 05 years of service on the last date of submission of online application). Besides, horizontal reservation to the extent of 6% shall be given to the Ex-Servicemen) 



• The candidate working as SPOs/Volunteer Homo Guard and conforming (o the eligibility as envisaged in para 2-l(ii) of the notice shall attach ecrtilie.ale(s) relating to their engagement as SPO/Volunteer I lome Guards issued by the concerned DDO/SSP under his seal signatures with date of issue. No such certificate will be entertained after the lust date of submission of online application.
• The fixation of pay during the period of first five years of the appointees shall be regulated as per the provisions of SKO 202 of'2015 dated 30-06-2015.
• Upon their appointment, candidates who have obtained any loan/stipend under the self employment scheme or any other category will be allowed to join only in ease they obtain a clearance certificate from the concerned department /bank to the effect they have refunded the loan/ ctcnrcd the liability.
• The candidates shall have to appear in the prescribed tests at their own expenses on the date and venue to be communicated by the Police Recruitment Board, through press or electronic media.
• In case, it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidate was not eligible for the post or has given wrong information, her candidature shall be summarily rejected without any further notice to her and the same may attract legal action.
• The selected candidates shall be subjected to prescribed medical examination /checkup through Standing Medical Boards and the appointment orders shall be issued only after receipt of satisfactory medical report and clearance about her character/antecedents from CID. The selected candidates shall be required to undergo the prescribed Basic Training Course.
