J&K coronavirus cases and status on 11th March, 2020

In Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir till date 48202 number of travellers and persons in contact with suspected / positive cases have been put under surveillance. 7729 in Home Quarantine (including facilities operated by Govt. ), 214 in hospital Isolation, 422 in Hospital Quarantine. 28912 in home surveillance. 10921 completed their 28 days surveillance period. Outcome of COVID-19 laboratory tests. 2982 negative. 224 tested positive (214 Active Positive, 06 recovered, 04 Deaths). 17 new positive cases have been reported from L'T since our last update. 05 from Jammu Division & 12 from Kashmir Divsion. (11 April, 2020; 5:00 PM). 

People are requested to stay indoors, stricdy implement social distancing measures, disclose recent travel history to COVID-19 affected countries and report any contact with positive cases voluntarily. 


Older adults (60 years & above) or people with underlying health conditions are at higher risk of developing severe forms of COVID 19. For those over 60 years & people with underlying health conditions, keeping your physical distance from others is advised: 
• Don't allow visitors or go outside during the COVID 19 outbreak. 
• Alternatively, socialize by phone everyday with friends or family. 
• Check for common symptoms like cough, fever and difficulty in breathing. Seek medical care immediately, if you have difficulty in breathing. 
• Keep family / friends informed if you need assistance. 

General public is advised to avoid unnecessary visit to hospitals, in case anyone develops fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, seek medical advice promptly. People should call on Covid-19 helpline No.s so that they can be provided correct medical advice and directed to the right health facility, if needed. 

In case of any emergency people can avail free ambulance services 24x7 at their door steps by calling on lull free No. 108. Pregnant women and sick infants can avail free ambulance services by dialling toll free No.102.

People must take basic precautions for persona) hygiene; frequent hand washing with soap & water. and obsCTving coughing & sneezing etiquettes. Public is advised to strictly follow the advisories issued by the Govt. from time to time. 


People are urged to rely only on the information released by the government in this regard through the daily media bulletin to print & electronic media. People are advised to refrain from spreading nunours and pay no heed to them at the same time.
