JKPSC invites online applications from the eligibile candidates who are domicile of J&K for the post of Medical Officer in Health and Family Welfare department.

Important Dates:
• Date of commencement for submission of online applications= 05.08.2020(10.00 A.M.)
Last date for submission of online applications and online fee= 04.09.2020 (23.59 P.M.)

The tentative date of examination (Written Test) is 01.11.2020.

Total vacancy: 900 (OM-450,RBA-90, SC-72, ST-90, ALC/IB - 36, Social caste- 36, PSP - 36, EWS - 90)

Pay Scale: Rs.52700-166700 (Level 9)


Qualification\ Eligibility:
MBBS or Possession of recognized Graduate Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or part-II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate 
qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of education 
qualification included in part-II of the 3rd Schedule should fulfill the conditions 
stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
Registration of Medical Council of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir/Medical 
Council of India is pre-requisite for the eligibility of the candidate.

Age Limit (Age as on _1st January 2020) :
• Minimum = 18 Years
• Maximum/In-service = 40 Years
• Physically Challenged candidates = 42 Years
• Candidates belonging to RBA/ SC/ ST/ ALC/ SLC/ PSP/ EWS categories = 43 Years
• Ex-serviceman

Examination Fee:
• General Category = Rs.400.00
• Reserved Categories = 200.00
• PHC candidates = Nil

Scheme of Selection:
i) In pursuance of SRO No: 388 dated: 10.09.2018 the selection process shall be by written test only which shall be of NEET (PG) standard as far as practicable.
ii) The written test (MCQ type) shall be of 100 points.

How to apply:
Candidates are required to apply online through the website of the Commission i.e. http://www.jkpsc.nic.in. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted.

Candidates are not required to submit a hard copy or any other documents to the 
Commission. However such of the candidates as are declared qualified on the basis of Written Test shall be required to submit the Original documents in support of their candidature on the dates at venues to be notified separately.
