JKPSC Recruitment for medical Officer posts in health and Medical Education Department

JKPSC invites applications through online mode from the applicants who are domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir possessing the prescribed Academic /Professional qualification and age for the post of Medical Officer in terms of the "jammu & Kashmir Health & Medical Education Department ( Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2013, notified vide SRO 325 dated 12.07.2013, read with amendment made vide SRO-388 dated 10.09.2018 and "Jammu & Kashmir Probationer (Conduct of Service, Pay & Allowance) and Fixation of Tenure Rules, 2020" notified vide S.O. 192 of 2020 dated: 17.06.2020 and Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021.

The posts/ vacancies earmarked for Reserved Category candidates under 1st Special Drive will be filled up first.

Qualification: MBBS or Possession of recognized Graduate Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-Il of the 3rd Scheduled (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of education qualifications included in part-Il of the 3rd Scheduled should fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.

Candidates are required to apply online through the website of the Commission i.e http://www.jkpsc.nic.in. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted.

Editing of the online application form

Candidates who have successfully submitted the online application form along with requisite fee will be allowed to edit some of the fields in their submitted online application form within three days after the cut-of date i.e from 22.01.2022 to 24.01.2022 (upto 11:59 pm). Detailed instruction in this regard will be made available on the website.

Documents to be mandatorily uploaded

While filling the online application form, the applicants] are required to mandatorily upload the following documents alongwith the online application form:-

i) Date of Birth Certificate (Secondary School/Matric certificate]- 1 leaf
ii) Domicile certificate - 1 leaf
iii) Category certificate (If claiming benefit under that category]- 1 leaf
iv) MBBS Degree certificate alongwith the consolidated Marks Cards-upto 5 leaves.
v) Internship certificate- 01 leaf
vi) Registration Certificate-01 leaf.

NOTE

It may be noted that the Requisite Documents uploaded by the candidates must be issued before the prescribed cut of date of Advertisement Notification and that no further opportunity shall be provided to upload any document and action under rules including rejection of application form/candidature etc. will be taken without any further notice. 

Scheme of selection

i) In pursuance of SRO No. 325 dated 12.07.2013 read with amendment made vide SRO No. 388 dated 10.09.2018, the candidate(s) will be selected on the basis of a written test comprising of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ).
ii) As far as possible the Multiple Choice Question(s) will be of the standards as have been prescribed for the National Entrance Eligible Test (NEET) for admission to PG courses .
iii) The written examination (MCQ type) will be of two hours duration (120 minutes) having 100 questions.
iv) There will be negative marking for incorrect answers ( as detailed below) for all questions.
v) There are four alternative for the answers to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
vi ) If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happen to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
