JKPSC Recruitment 2022 for AE Civil in Jal Shakti Department

JKPSC invites applications through online mode, from the eligible candidates who are domiciles in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, possessing the academic/Professional qualification and age, for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Jal Shakti Department.

-Date of Commencement for submission of online applications: 29th December, 2022
-Last date for filing of online Application along with the requisite fee (online mode only) is 5th February, 2023.
-Candidates can edit some of the Fields in their online application form from 29.01.2023 (12;00am) to 31.01.2023 (11:59 pm) (3 days)
-Tentative date of examination is 4th week of April, 2023.

Candidates are required to apply online through the website of the Commission i.e http://www.jkpsc.nic.in. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted.

While filling the online application form the applicants are requested to upload the documents as per details given bellow:-

(a)               Documents (Mandatory):-

1.                   Date of birth certificate (secondary School/Matric Certificate)

2.                   Domicile Certificate of the UT of J&K.

3.                   Bachelor’s Degree alongwith consolidated Marks Card (s) upto 05 lvs. 


(b)               Documents (Mandatory if claiming benefit under that category):-

1. Category Certificate. 01 leaf

2. In-service certificate signed by HOD

Written Examination

Performance in the interview/Viva Voce test. The candidate shall be asked to deliver a 5 minute demonstration/lecture on a given topic from the relevant subject to demonstrate his/her domain knowledge/skills and will be assessed and evaluated by the subject experts and the Members of the Commission in the Selection Committee/Interview Board.

Scheme of Selection / Examination:

- The pattern of Examination shall comprise the following: 

1.The written examination will be an objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) paper of two hours duration and having minimum 120 questions.

2. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers (as detailed below) for all questions:

a. There are four alternatives for the answers to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

b. If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happen to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.

c. If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question

3. The written exam will carry Sixty eight (68) points. The marks obtained in the written examination shall be taken into account on pro-rata basis for determining the final merit list

4. The Syllabus for the written examination is enclosed as annexure "A” and also available on the website of the Commission (www.jkpsc.nic.in).
